Surfing Cribber in Newquay , plus great surf school

On Wednesday 2nd July me and a few mates surfed a big wave spot in Newquay called the Cribber.
It all started when i saw the chart the night before, and it looked like there was a good chance it would break.
Lucky for me i own a surf school called http://northshoresurfsafari.co.uk/index.htm and being your own boss you can arrange work around the waves when a opportunity like this comes along.
Myself (Ben Baird) Spencer Hargraves, Gareth Llewellyn, James Mitchell, Ben Skinner and Josh Hueths got out there about 10.30am, some of us paddled out there and some came on 2 jet skis.
The cribber is very tidal so you have only about a 2 hour gap in the tide, so you really have to be prepared and out there from start to finish.
I have surfed the cribber a hand full of times so i kind of no what to expect, i paddled in to one wave at the start made the drop and found the safety of the channel, as i looked around i saw a big set wave come in and clean the boys up that where on the peak, James Mitchell i think got the worst of it as he had to deal with 4 of these waves on the head.
Spence and Gareth got out there with the jet ski about 10Min's later, Gareth got towed into a big one then i jumped on the ski and towed Spencer in to a couple of waves. I then got towed in of my 7'8ft surfed board shaped by Jonny purton from JP Surf boards. I got into the wave really early so i had time to come off the bottom of the wave and get a big snap half under the lip and make it to the channel.
After that we had problems with the jet ski and had to go in, i think the fuel line was blocked or something.
I hope that we get another chance to surf the cribber this summer as its alot warmer then the cold winter days when it normally breaks.
Hope you enjoyed my little story, i have never set up a blog page before so i don't really no what I'm doing, so thanks for reading.
